The aim of the project is to combine natural and cultural tourist attractions in the Orlje area and thereby increase the visibility and accessibility of the tourist and recreational offer for locals and visitors. The project focuses on improving the marketing and promotion of heritage and natural attractions and the development of new tourist and recreational products in the areas of hiking, cycling and living heritage.
Objectives of the project:
- Transfer of cultural heritage and organization of tourist and local events
- Strengthening cycling through the establishment of a bike rental service and the development of programs and networks to promote cycling
- Regulation of the tourist and recreational offer of Orla
- Encourage nature protection
- Project promotion and dissemination
Results of the project:
- Transfer of living heritage
- Implementation of heritage events, cycling and hiking events
- Conducting workshops on heritage and experiences in Orle for the general population and vulnerable groups
- Purchase of equipment and devices for events and socializing
- Establishment of e-bike rental services at two locations
- Development of tourist and recreational infrastructure in Orle
- Program and network to stimulate hiking and cycling
- New boutique tourism products (butarica souvenirs, nighttime animal watching near the feeders)
- Establishing a forest learning trail for independent and guided implementation
- Planting trees to improve biodiversity and raise environmental awareness

Financial support: The total budget of the Orle – Heritage and Experiences project is EUR 254,464.48. EU funding is EUR 190,226.56.
The project is co-financed within the framework of the 1st public call for the selection of projects that contribute to the implementation of the objectives and measures of the Local Development Strategy of the LAG Coexistence between City and Countryside for 2024 (ERDF fund).
The purpose of the public call is to select projects whose results contribute to the implementation of the objectives and measures set out in the SLR in the area of the LAG Sožitje. The public call is implemented as support for the implementation of community-led local development (LEADER/CLLD approach). The LAG Sožitje is eligible for support for the implementation of projects selected within the SLR from the European Regional Development Fund.
