Gostilnica Orle – Ljubljana Center – Gostilnica Orle
This picturesque circular cycling route starts and ends in the idyllic village of Orle, just a stone’s throw from Ljubljana. The route is approximately 22 kilometers long and offers a beautiful interweaving of forest paths, quiet country roads and views of the Ljubljana Marshes and the surrounding hills.
With a total elevation gain of 290 meters, it is suitable for recreational cyclists, families with a bit more fitness, and nature lovers looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The route takes you through cozy villages, past meadows and forests, and along the way you will find several places to rest and refresh yourself.
The most beautiful part of the route is the peaceful ride along forest roads, where you will enjoy the birdsong and fresh air. Due to its circular shape, the route ends where you started – perfect for a relaxing day on the bike.
Tip: The route is most beautiful in spring and autumn, when nature shines in vibrant colors.
Gostilnica Orle – Pr’Jakopc (Mali Lipoglav) – Gostilnica Orle
This 32-kilometer-long, challenging circular route begins and ends in the village of Orle. The route is a great choice for cyclists who want a slightly longer and more dynamic ride, as it offers a total of 560 meters of ascent and the same amount of descent.
Along the way, you will ride through peaceful forest areas, across picturesque meadows and past secluded farms, where time passes more slowly. The highest points of the route are rewarded with views of the Ljubljana Marshes, the Polhograj Hills and even the Julian Alps on clear days.
The cycling connection to the Pr’Jakopc homestead (Izletniška kmetija pri Jakopcu, Ana Dremelj; Alojzij Dremelj s.p.) is a very special part of the route, as it takes you through unspoiled nature and pleasant gravel sections that will delight lovers of a more authentic cycling experience.
The route is suitable for well-prepared recreational cyclists who enjoy the combination of paved roads and paved gravel paths.
Tip: In spring and autumn, you will be accompanied by the most beautiful colorful scenes of nature, and in summer, find refreshment in shady forest areas.

Gostilnica Orle – Planinski dom na Rašici – Gostilnica Orle
This more demanding circular cycling route, almost 50 kilometers long, starts and ends in the pleasant village of Orle. The route is ideal for persistent recreational cyclists and lovers of longer excursions, as it offers 640 meters of ascent and numerous picturesque sections.
The route takes you through diverse landscapes – from quiet forest paths and country roads to lively villages and hilly viewpoints. The main destination of the route is Dom na Rašici, a popular spot for hikers and cyclists, where you can stop for a snack and enjoy the view of the Ljubljana Basin.
The return to Orle takes a slightly different route, offering new views and quiet sections where you will truly feel in touch with nature.
The route is varied and includes a combination of asphalt and gravel roads, so we recommend trekking or mountain biking.
Tip: Due to the length and altitude differences, make sure you are in good physical condition and have enough food and drink. The trail is beautiful in all seasons, especially in autumn, when the forests around Rašica shine in warm colors.
